We learned about methodologies which include grammar - translation, audio - lingualism, presentation, practice and production, task-based learning, communicative language teaching, community language learning, the silent way, suggestopaedia, and the lexical approach. Each methodology has different approaches. Depending on different situations or personalities, teachers can choose appropriate methodologies. The techniques that are discussed in this lesson are ESA. ESA means engage, study and activate. Engage stage is to warm up students. This stage can help them ready for English lessons. Study is where the students learn new concepts in English. Students can apply what they have learned from the study stage to the activate stage.
