This unit is dense with valuable teaching material. In this unit I learnt the difference between a mistake a learner might make versus an acquired error and steps to take for correction. I also learnt the protocol for an effective lesson by way of the methodologies laid out in this unit. The Engage-Study-Activate protocol and the variations thereof was of particular importance to me. I will use this technique when I begin teaching my students. To my understanding the 3 types of ESA protocol correspond to the different levels of learning the students require. I also learnt the value of feedback. Correction, praise and encouragement are all valuable tools the teacher can use. I would say my teaching belt is near fully equipped with the necessary tools for a successful semester! I am already eager to teach my students! Great unit.
