Through this unit, I have known much more about many theories, methodologies and techniques which are really useful for me in teaching language. Now I can distinguish clearly among methodologies such as: grammar-translation,3P (presentation-pratice-production), tasked-based learning, communicative Language Teaching vs learning, the silent way, the lexical approach. I also found that the ESA (engage-study-active) is the most effective methodologies for new teachers to learn and apply in the classroom. This method is various. We can have straight Arrow ESA lesson, Boomerang ESA lesson, PatchWork ESA lesson. They are very interesting. In the other hand, I also got many ideas for engage phrases and time-filling activities such as: introduction prompts, partner information share, fizz-buzz, alphabet replay, sevens, I spy, memory games, ... Besides, I had more ideas for study phrases. For example, elicitation, pronunciation, spelling, meaning, word order, analysis, tounge twisters, ...Moreover, I also had more ideas for activate phrase as well as give the feedback or correction techniques. All these information is incredibly wonderful and significant for me in teaching.
