This unit is theory-heavy. There are quite a lot of methodologies to approach when teaching a language such as grammar translation, audio lingualism, ppp, suggestopaedia etc. The structure of Engage, Study and Activate was thoroughly explained with examples of each aspect. Using games during the Engage phase to warm up the class shows that it is a great way of preparing students for the lesson ahead. Closing the lesson with an activity after the Study phase will help keep the students motivated and interested in learning. Great ideas for all the ESA phases were given before closing off the unit with feedback and correction discussions. Within the unit there was an appendix of lesson planning.
