This unit delved into the different ways there are to teach a second or foreign language. It discussed numerous methods and methodologies as well as making a case for the ESA method. ESA is the Engage, Study, Activate method of teaching a foreign language. It involves more student production and less teacher talking time, while still including correction, than other methods which makes it ideal for teaching a foreign language.
