First main topic of this unit is methology of learning. This includes concepts focussing on different things such as translation, repetition of audio input, free use of speech and similar. Next the basic teaching phylosophy of this whole online course is explained. Using as much elicitation as possible, phases of engagement, as the first phase of a lesson, followed by study and activation phases are used to form different schemes of lesson plans. More detailed information is given on activities which might be used to form the three mentioned phases. The last chapter gives advise on how to correct students and how to deal with their errors and mistakes to not reduce their motivation and enthusiasm to participate. In conclusion I have learned from this chapter how to start planning a lesson. Roughly putting up phases of the lesson with concrete goals, activities and things to focus on, I now have a very basic understanding how an english lesson might be built like.
