This lesson focused on creating a classroom environment conducive to learning. I learned about the pros and cons of groupwork, pairwork, and individual work. Each should be used at different times. I learned about how to have the ideal classroom arrangement. In deciding this, you have to consider many things such as age, size of class, and activities of class. I learned about how students are sensitive to my position and which positin is appropriate . I learned how to avoid spending too much time giving my back to the students. I learned about how to balance teaching talk time and student talk time. I learned good methods on how to develop rapport and how to respond to bad behavior. Overall, I feel better equipped to provide a good learning environment for my students.
