Tense means time. English language refers to three different times, ie Past, Present and Future. Each of these times has four aspects namely Simple, Continuous, Perfect and Perfect continuous resulting in having 12 tenses altogether. The course unit explains about the present tenses and applicable grammar points which has been detailed under 4 areas namely Form, Usage, Typical student errors and Activate stage teaching ideas. The tense structure in English may appear complicated as many other languages speak only about three tenses. The grammar points and the teaching techniques presented in this course unit gives an idea of how an EFL teacher should design and develop activate stage teaching ideas to encourage students to learn the present tenses whilst understanding the points where the students tend to make mistakes. At this stage, it would be sufficient to conclude indicating that it is another successful unit and looking forward to learn more grammar points in future course units.
