This unit covers the general methodologies for language teaching (such as lexical, grammar translation, etc) and the more specific structure of lessons (ESA). While every teacher has a general feel for how a lesson should go, I was surprised to see such a clear cut partitioned structure such as Engage-Study-Activate and its variants. This gives a more concrete basis to design lesson plans, and a flexible structure to work with for more complex lessons.
