In this unit I learned that the mains learning and developmental theories are Constructivists, Environmentalists, Maturationists and Other. The First and second Language acquisition are learned differently and need a different approach. The young learner are separate in two groups : 5 - 9 and 9-13 years old. The two different group will need different approach. a Standard communication approach for group 1 is required. The ESA methodology is the most effective for group 2 but will need to focus on student talk time.
