In Unit 2, Teaching and Learning, when the topic was about the learning environment, I was reflecting on the different seating arrangements of my class. In my experience, the environment is important in helping students maximize their learning experience. I like seating them in rows because I can have their undivided attention when I want them to focus on the lesson. But I change their seats regularly. Although I find grouping tables do not necessarily mean students will work as a group. That is why I do not use this seating arrangement often since it creates ‘cliques’ in the class. Overall, I find this unit very informative, practical and timely.
