The most useful part of this unit has been the focus on the test that are most suitable for Young Learners, specifically the CYCLE tests, which I have encountered for the first time. The most useful part is the matching of ages with the number of hours taught. Other than that, the matter of placement and needs analysis follows other language courses with due consideration made for age. On that last point,I note with interest that a needs negotiation with the very young should cover class rules. Sounds sisible, given the limitation set by age.
