In this unit on course development, I learned about the various stages of course development from needs analysis to limiting factors, syllabus design, and assessment of students. Wrapping up the unit were sections on examinations and course evaluation, bringing the stages full circle. The most useful thing I learned in this unit was the step by step process of developing not only a course, but the potential issues that come along with teaching young learners. Things like time restraints and resources are good to be aware of so I can teach most effectively.
