Unit 4 addresses a wide variety of materials to use in a classroom setting and explains the difference between authentic and non-authentic materials. It explains the importance of well-prepared lesson plans and gives good examples of how to complete a lesson plan and what items should be included. I learned that a good lesson plan will enable a substitute teacher to step in and conduct the class in a way that the regular teacher would. Unit 4 also presents a wide variety of book resources and websites for accessing resources.
