In unit five, teaching themes were introduced. The unit was broken down into sections covering songs and music, games, stories, arts and crafts, seasonal activities around the world, and sample lesson plans with materials. Getting to see a general breakdown of activity themes made it much easier to determine the proper ratio of a particular type of activity theme per lesson. The most beneficial part of this unit for me was seeing the sample lesson plans because it will help me to create my own lesson plans in the future.
