This unit focused on the present tense which has four aspects in total; the simple present, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. It explained the forms, usages as well as activate stage activities that teachers could use when teaching this topic to learners, and most importantly gave examples of the type of errors learners may make when learning this tense.       For non-native speakers like me, this unit was rather challenging as it involved mastering many rules which only got a little bit more confusing as I moved forward. Nonetheless, I was able to grasp something at the end of the unit. I came to understand that the simple present is used for situations that always happen and have become a habit, for situations that cannot be changed, news headlines etc. The present continuous is usually used to talk about an action that is still going on at the time we are talking, the present perfect mainly connects the past to the present, and the perfect present continuous not only connects the past to the present but leaves the implication that the action may still continue in the subsequent future.      Aside from the challenging task of mastering the usages of these aspects and their forms, also comes the challenge of mastering the past participle forms of irregular verbs which basically have no ruleǃ
