It is a pretty easy job, respected, loved, and full life, payable to travel hobbies expenses. This, for some people, is very unlikely in their country. So what about non-native English speaking teachers? They may have tried very hard not only in learning English, but they also faced barriers of racism and discrimination. Between a white candidate, an English native, even if he has no experience and a degree, a non-native English speaking teacher is overshadowed. However, you can still help yourself get a job as a non-native English speaking teacher by meeting other requirements very well. About myself, I plan to go to Thailand in the near future, combining tourism and TEFL. Maybe my salary will be lower than other native English speaking teachers, but I believe I still have a good and full life there.
