In this lesson I learned about the actual approach to teaching English vocabulary, grammar and functions and the application of the ESA to do so. I thought it was useful to learn what aspects of these things are important for the students to know. For example, in learning vocabulary, the student mainly needs to know the meaning, usage, word grammar, how it interacts with other verbs and its spelling and pronunciation. I thought this was interesting as when I studied other languages I would sometimes learn the origins of words, as some words share meaning through roots and prefixes, though this may not be the same when learning English.
