The classroom will not contain a competition atmosphere.The older ones will help the teacher in the classrom.They will play a role play in the classroom. For example while making a peer in the classromm a young student and an old one can match and they can have duties in pair work according to their abilities.The student will learn tolerance towards each other. In these kind of classes understanding will be the main aim.They will be more responsible in the classroom.One of the most effective way to learn sth is to teach it to somebody. The older ones will do this in the classroom.There will be flexibility in the atmosphere. For example while teaching the body parts older ones can do some writing activities the younger ones can do drawing and coloring related with the same subject.In this kind of classes the students can benefit from eachother.The students build co operative learning skills. As the member of the community they are taking risks, making errors and they reach the aim co-construction of learning. I think there is not only a way or a right way to teach multı-age groups.Because sometimes the teacher will let the students to teach eachother. All age groups like stories.So the teacher can use communicative method in the class.During the lesseon they can learn the same subject with different activities and independent from eachother.The teacher can prepare informal assesments and surverys to see where everybody is. The teacher should search alternative teaching approaches and strategies through action search and professional development as a part of critical reflection on teaching practices. The teacher should use group learning experiences across and within year levels. There is a freedom of choice and exploration of many ideas which makes learning an exciting and real part of children’s life.In order to build self esteem and confidence multiple classes are more suitable.These classrrooms provides rich learning experiences for students.The students will accept and understand differences.By sharing, exploring, explaining a student’s ideas will develop. The teacher is facilitator of learning rather than keper of knowledge.The classroom is heterogenous and young students or older ones, all the students have their own continuun of learning. So the teacher should use many kind of different materials.In these classrooms the older ones can go beyond the traditional curriculum limits while the young ones going on to learn it.So older children mentor the young students.I think the success of the multi age classroom is mostly depends on the teaching techniques.Because in this model classroom the teacher should perform pedagogical responsibilities for more than one class in the classroom. Multi aged education is used generally in rural areas and not populated areas.Multi-age education is invisible in text boks,teacher quides and in teacher teaching methods. So the tacher should create his/her own style.Instead of emphasize the weaknesses of the students this classrooms shows the strenght of the students.This is a kind of social learning.With the interactions in the class, all the students learn from eachother. May be it is not common all around the world but there is not differences in teaching between multi age classes and the others. As long as the teacher use the right techniquies in the classroom multi age classes are more rich than others.
