In this unit I have learnt about the present tense. I have learnt that it is widely accepted that there are 12 English tenses and that student often have great difficulty in understanding tenses. I learnt that there are three tenses, past, present and future and that they can be sub divided into four aspects; simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous. I learnt about the grammatical construction of each form and their uses. I considered some typical student errors and why students find these difficult. I found this unit difficult and it is definitely one that I will need to revisit. It was helpful to have the rules explained.
