I felt like I was heading back to my Spanish classes. I initially found the charts incredibly confusing, however, I remembered visual charts that I used when learning Spanish for the first time. As always with my grammar skills, I rely heavily on my ear and other sources to help me figure out the material. I think my favorite tense to use is still the present continuous. Reading over this material I am again referencing my time in Spanish classes. I know I am committing the sin of an adult learner who is trying to use my natural language framework to compare to others. Now that I have lived through this experience I believe it will make me a better teacher for language learners in foreign countries.
