In unit 7, we looked at specific aspects of teaching a new language: vocabulary, grammar structures, and language functions. Each section discussed various activities that would work well in the engage, study, and activate sections of lesson construction. It also provided a good reminder of example lesson structures for straight arrow, patchwork, and boomerang lesson structures. It was helpful to consider all of the basic needs for learning a new language and how best to think about your students when choosing vocabulary for my students.
