This introduction to teaching was helpful to understand the expectations of a teacher and student. I have some experience with the teacher's roles from camp counseling, but obviously, the curriculum was not as serious. It was, also, good to learn what a model student should look like so as to be able to guide students to be more receptive to new ideas and motivated. I thought the inclusion of the ability to receive criticism was a very good aspect for a student to have. When I was younger, as a student, I was high performing but a perfectionist. An inability to receive criticism definitely hurt my learning experience, especially with topics that did not come quickly.
