This unit was able to compare different methodologies in teaching the English Language. It was able to point out the advantage and disadvantage of each method. There are methods applicable for a beginner, intermediate or advanced. For example, for beginners, we can use Audio-lingualism, while PPP can be used for intermediate and Suggestopaedia for a higher level. The sample techniques were exercises that can be used during the engage stage or activation stage. There are also pointers at which stage to do minor or on the spot correction. I agree that it’s during the study stage, is the right time to correct a student in a discrete manner.
