Unit 2 covers the first unit on grammar with regards to parts of speech. It clearly outlines the structure of the English language and the rules applicable to its use in practice. This is very important as it guides students in achieving fluency and confidence in speaking English properly knowing how to put sentences together, and why certain words are used and spelled in certain ways given the context in which it is used. Grammar is a necessity, and teaching it will be inevitable in the classroom when one has to explain why they say things in certain ways or make certain corrections to written and spoken work (except perhaps in kindergarten and classes made up of very young learners). Any competent language teacher would have to know a thing or two about proper grammar usage and teaching methods, and this is no different for the English language.
