Gestures, eye contact and voice are important aids that should be used well. Identifying these, examining each one for their pros and cons was useful. As were the benefits of class groupings and arrangement. I have used pairs and groups and found it to be difficult to monitor students since they fall back into their native language sometimes as was mentioned in this chapter. Also I have made mistakes in discipline but most of the time, utilizing professional demeanor, correct pronunciation and clear instruction has been helpful and I am happy to say that my rapport is quite good (though perhaps too relaxed). More difficult is the pairing of different personalities, or confidence levels. Variety is nice, but I have found that a stronger pseronality can quash a weaker one in groups. Still, all the many facets examined here have really made me think.
