I have learnt that in order to be effective in a classroom, the teacher has to be proactive, intentional in getting to know the students and be sensitive to their needs and learning styles. The classroom physical arrangement and group sizes can be customized to enhance learning experience and rapport-building overall. The teacher's expressed enthusiasm in teaching or lack of such can also influence the rapport with the students.
