This unit continued the grammar points of focuses in the past tense. As with the present tense unit, I found myself viewing the material as an individual learning the English language for the first time. Although I know the rules, I found that to teach this material as a foreign language, you really have to simplify it for the individual to understand. Some of the tenses can be seen to overlap one another, and the forms for the irregular verbs will appear to not make sense for those learning. The content of this unit demonstrated how tricky teaching grammar can be.
