We all probably know, that music has no language. It is kindly welcome by all nations equally,  as well as all races, all ages and all the cultures. So how the music or songs can help us to teach English and to do it more effectively? Music is letting us to go deeper into concious that anything, it is much more memorable, so the words and grammar structures may be remembered much faster, also it helps to relax and to feel happy, so using of songs in the classroom is not only a good tool to use, but  it is also an extremely necessary part of teaching and language acquisition. Music has no language, as I already have said before. But is has a huge power, though. Everyone understands whether the song is sad or happy, slow or fast, quiet or loud. Based on this, the teacher may build activities and use songs to explain what kind of things he/she is expecting from his/her students to do now. Songs  may help students to understand some basic vocabulary, for example  the words slow and fast are very funny to learn with the kids using same pace of the song We all like some clear patterns, where we may easily follow and have a good result in a short period of time. A song may be such kind of a pattern. Especially it works well with the kids. Wherever the teacher need the learners to gather together, to sit down and listen, to make any kind of a movement or anything, he/she may use a special song for it. It will give the students the feeling of understanding what is happening and also the desire to follow, if they like the music. Music helps us to establish a contact very fast and well, and to "break the ice". It may become a way of communication, a kind of connection between the teacher and students. It is some kind of empathy- when you repeat the words and movements after someone, you feel connected to the person, and connection is really important within the class, because noone wants to study in a bad atmosphere, right? So it helps education so much. 300 I have watched a movie called "the teacher", if I remember it's name correctly, and the  plot was about the teacher who had a really bad and weak class to teach, which  noone was able to work with. The teacher tried to establish the contact with the group of bullies, but he failed, the class didn't accept his teaching.  But in the end that teacher found a way to pass the knowledge to the children- and it was through the song, which he wrote just to make students learn all the president's names in the right order. Also this approach had let the teacher to feel very close with the students, as well as they felt his attitude and percieved it positively. The song had let them feel comfortable, connected, and confident, for they really have learned the lirycs and realised that they are not stupid if they got some knowledge now. Songs are good for learning also because you remember something after you repeat it a lot of times, and usually songs are based on repetitions, no matter if this is the chorus that you repeat over and over again or the song just consist of one or two words or phrases going repeatedly one after another- both ways are good for learning, though they are suitable for different ages. So we may conclude that song in the class are extremely important, doesn't matter whether it is a class of adults or young learners, for both of them they will represent an amazing way to  memorize things faster and better, and for the teacher the advantages of using songs are even better because they may help to organize the class, to set up an activity, to make a game, to establish contact with the students and break the ice, and many other things. Using songs makes a lesson more memorable funny so it would be not wise to not use such a helpful tool. I use songs in the classroom quite frequently and hope that all the teachers may appreciate this nice way of teaching.
