This unit was full of useful information about theories, methods and techniques. I found out such theoretical methods as grammar-translation, audio-lingualism, presentation, practice and production, task based learning, community language learning, communicative language teaching, silent way, suggestopaedia and the lexical approach. These methods are equally important in teaching English. For a good environment and flexibility in the classroom, you need to know the main approaches: Engage, Study and Activate. A very important role plays an elicitation. It's very practical component of the ESA process. Elicitation gives students a chance to talk but it reduces teacher talk time.
