I found this unit very helpful in breaking down the distinct but sometimes subtle differences between the four different present tenses: the present simple, the present continuous, the present perfect, and the present perfect continuous. I learned how to structure each tense properly in its positive, negative, and question forms. I also learned common usages for each tense, as well as some activities to engage learners during the activate stage(s) of the lesson. I feel like this unit and the ones that follow immediately after will be great resources in the classroom, and I'm sure I'll refer to them time and again. Being a native speaker, I never learned how or why verb tenses work the way they do - I simply absorbed all of that through context. Therefore, having it laid out concisely in front of me will add greatly to my ability to teach English.
