Our world is quickly changing all the time and especially recent times. Modern technologies are a part of our everyday life and even more children can't imagine this world without gadgets. Our generation saw the world without digital technologies, and we have an opportunity to compare it “before” and “after”. But children see all new modern technologies almost from birth, and they become the part of children's ordinary life. I am sure that we really need it to safe time and be mobile in this fast developing world. Researchers say, that the future will be the virtual reality — but at present, there is a range of digital options that encourage kids to actively engage in their own learning. Nowadays the use of technology is an important part of the learning process. I think teachers should use it and if they have enough competence — create technology-integrated materials for lessons, which should concentrate on both teaching and learning. As for me, I don't mind using laptops or cellphones for dictionaries, searching information, but I can't control if they chat in social networks, watch cartoons or just surfing the Internet instead of learning. Of course there are a lot of advantages of using technology. During my lessons I use interactive white board and vote tools to check my pupils' knowledge. At first, I prepare appropriate test in special program, then I put names of pupil in database. Children read the question on the board and choose the right variant on their vote devices. It is fast, easy to check, because after the test we can see results on the board immediately(name and number of true\false variants) and it is not easy to cheat. But here are some disadvantages, because some children need more time to cogitate the question and it takes a lot of time to create such test. That's why I use it not so often. Another useful thing is the Internet resource — https://learningapps.org/. It is very useful for teachers who don't have much time for preparing. I can choose some tasks from base or create my own and share it with other people. There are a lot of different interactive exercises and you can work with interactive board as well. We have sensor boards and one person goes to the board and does one piece of task and other pupils search for other variants from their sits. Then another pupil goes to the board and so on. It suits well to the study stage. But pupil get bored fast, that's why I use it not so often too. In some classrooms we have working places with headphones for individual work, but after listening task pupil can work in pairs and groups as well. New technologies are useful, but they should not take the whole time of the lesson. When pupil writes new material, he\she remembers spelling of words, understands the meaning of grammar and realizes the structure of sentences. Pupils should not only listen the text, but work with it and reproduce the meaning. In my view new technology must be mixed with traditional approaches but anyway it is important part of learning process in the classroom. In conclusion I can't say if there are more advantages or disadvantages in using new technologies, but we, as teachers should keep balance between different approaches and adapt them to the needs of pupils.
