When it comes to talk about teaching, I feel very energetic and enthusiastic as this is something which is very compassionating and rewarding. Teacher play a very important role in everybody's life. A good teacher helps us to become good human being in the society and overall a good citizen of the country. As far as I am concerned I started my teaching career very early. It was really one of the best thing of my life which I possess. Teaching is not all about simply delivering a lesson and just go back,It is all about a matter of dedication, devotion, diligence, challenging approach and a million other things that I actually had never thought of. When I simply think about teaching, It allows me to put each and everything that I have learned about education and the subject knowledge into action but when I recalls my experience it is really something which makes my teaching more enriched, subtle and vivacious which gets better by each day. As a teacher we too learn a lot of things, which can not be learnt via books or any other medium of education. In my opinion if you are honest about your mistakes and imperfections, you will be truly able to connect with your students dominantly and will get to know about them as individuals. It gives me a nostalgic feeling when I recalls my past experiences. One of the such experience is as follows: It was the time when I just started teaching. Though I was the class teacher of different section but I had to look after another section of students for sometime being as my fellow teacher was sick and in place of her, I had to serve myself as a proxy for a week's time. I entered in the class and welcomed to all students. Kids were surprised to see me and bombarded me with curious questions such as "Will you be our class teacher ?", "Which subject are you going to teach us ?" and so on. I smiled and told them as the time goes by, you will get to know..Let's begin the class, are you all ready and a loud noise with a "yes" poked into my ear. Honestly, it was really very encouraging for me as it was utterly whole class voice which apparently created a feeling of interest. I got to know that I have to teach them " Conversion of money" and kids have no idea about it. So to take them in confidence I said, Do you know that today I am going to teach you about conversion of money i.e. You all will learn how petty cash(paise) is going to change into Rupees. You all will learn the techniques of the conversion of coins(Paise) into notes (Rupees). To my surprise kids started looking at each other and one of them said, "wow ma'am" it means we will be rich very soon, because we will learn those techniques which convert small amount into big cash. Another kid said, I will bring my piggy bank, so that when money will come to us I would be having some storage to keep the money. It gave me belly laugh to hear about their impeccable feeling of understanding, innocent opinions and behavior which was beyond any imagination and were the output of their pure and true thoughts. This is truly an unforgettable memory for me till date but that gives me really a good laugh whenever get recalled. With this episode I have also learnt that I need to be more clear in my communication specifically when it comes to teaching young learners. I always remember that, It's fine if you do mistake ,but it's not fine if you repeat the mistake. Last but not the least, when I look back about my journey which is still going on, it gives me a true sense of satisfaction and respect which I earned over the years, with lots of uncountable memories and lovely happenings.
