As we know that English is an international language most commonly spoken to communicate globally. There are some countries whose native language is English and then there are some countries whose native language is different but there official language is English. Like in my country, Pakistan. Therefore all the education received in such countries is conducted throughout in English, which helps in achieving a certain level of the language. But the nationals of such countries are not benefited the same as native speakers. However the knowledge of a language for self-use and general communication is different from the knowledge and techniques required when you are transferring your knowledge to another person for the purpose of educating them or helping them learn a new language. TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) is among the certifications required for teaching English on a standard and approved level, internationally. As a non-native English speaker, I found TEFL as an intense helping guide. It first helps in the realization that a language known for personal use is different from the language required to teach someone else. It further introduces to the general types and level of students and the techniques required to help progress and grasp the information provided. The TEFL course is properly designed and distributed into units addressing a particular need or function thus not imposing and overdoing information.
