This unit covered tenses. It explains that tenses tend to be the most difficult for students. This unit goes into detail about the form, usage, typical errors, and how to use the activate stage in ESA when teaching tenses to students. Going into depth about each tense (present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous) I am able to understand clearly how to use each tense and how to explain each tense to students. The unit also list out the usage of each tense so that there is a clear understanding on how each tense is used in different ways of speech throughout the language. By giving examples of what activate might look like inside the classroom with each tense it is easier to understand how to get the students to use the new found part of the language to help them become comfortable with using the tenses.
