Every now and then, education is changing. Techniques, methods and procedure are dynamic. These things change as the world changes. But, one thing that does not change is the will of a teacher to teach the student. There are a lot of methods and techniques in teaching. And one of that is using teaching aids. The many benefits of teaching aids include helping learners improve reading comprehension skills, illustrating or reinforcing a skill or concept, differentiating instruction and relieving anxiety or boredom by presenting information in a new and exciting way. Teaching aids also engage students’ other senses since there are no limits in what aids can be utilized when supplementing a lesson. Reading comprehension is an essential skill for the student. However, students are reading less and makes reading comprehension a low skill among today’s students. One of the advantages of the projector is that it is easy to make and only takes little tile to prepare. Although there are some of these that are complicated to arrange or set up especially those with projectors with many features. Other teaching aids are DVD/CD, camera recorder, audio player, and cassettes. And due to the advancement in technology, these types of aids can be performed by using computer. Teaching aids help the learning environment engaging as well as interesting. Since we are in the generation where younger age is exposed to technology, it is exciting for the students to use these aids so they do not lose their interest in the classroom. Teaching aids are becoming the norms in the classroom. It becomes one of the important tools in teaching. Hence it is important for the teacher to properly utilize these teaching aids to effectively teach the students by catching their attention in the lesson. A teacher opens a path for their future, and it is for the student to take courage, walk the path, climb the ladder and reach to top of their goal.
