The tenses appear to be the most difficult to master. The basic forms; past, present and future, seem to be the easiest because that is the language most used in speaking without having to identify why it is the correct form. As children take on the oral language it begins to just sound right. When learning how to write, it becomes much more difficult to write correct complex sentences.
