In this unit I leant that there are four forms of the past tense verbs. I leant that there are similarities between the present tense verbs and the past tenses verbs, for example: all perfect continuous forms feature some form of the verb ‘to have’ plus ‘been’ plus ‘ing’. I learnt that most common verbs have an irregular simple past form (ie. They do not simply end in ed) for example see-saw, come-came, eat-ate etc. I learnt when each for the of the verb should be used and the form that sentences take. Eg. all perfect continuous forms feature some form of the verb ‘to have’ plus ‘been’ plus ‘ing’. Once again I found this unit of verbs quite difficult and realise that it is something I will need to revisit.
