Throughout the course, english being my native language was both a pro and a con. Although prior to the course my ability to read, write, and speak english was proficient, this course introduced me to concepts and ideas that I was either unaware of or had forgotten. This tefl course was a great way to refresh my memory on important concepts and better prepare me to teach in a classroom. The course also enhanced my ability to write quality lesson plans and because of it I now feel confident and ready to teach in South Korea.
When officially put into a classroom, I intend to use all aspects of the class to my benefit, but mostly how to lesson plan and interact with the students. For instance, Unit 10 provided a great example as to how to make lesson fun and productive. This was extremely beneficial when realizing the best ways to teach when attempting to produce the best results for your students.
