Teach English in Total regional municipalities - TEFL Courses

The first thing that comes to mind when I consider the time that I have spent on this course is that I understand the english language significantly better than I did before. It actually alarmed me slightly that I've managed to communicate with people for almost twenty seven years, when during this time I had almost no knowledge of basic things like tenses! Taking this course has really given me a push to learn more about grammar. Now that I'm close to finishing, I intend to invest in a decent book and continue to improve my knowledge. Through this course, I am pleased to have discovered a genuine (if unexpected) interest in grammar and language structure. My mum currently works as a tefl teacher, so the content of the course was not a huge surprise to me, but the way that it was laid out and presented worked really well for me. The way that the units were put together has given me a fuller understanding of the importance of things such as materials, teaching equipment and classroom layout; Things that could have possibly been overlooked if I had decided to start teaching without this course. Aside from practical knowledge, I would say that one of the main benefits of taking the course is that it has given me a sense of confidence in my ability to teach. I feel equipped to react to any situation that may occur and comfortable that I have the basic knowledge to teach people properly! The next step for me is to start sending out CVs. I live in france and would be willing to relocate for a job. So I plan to begin by contacting all of the language schools in nearby cities as well as advertising my availability for private lessons.
