There are four basic skills in any language. The two receptive skills and the two productive skills. This unit went through the receptive skills that deal with listening and reading. These two skills are equally of great importance to understanding a language. teachers need to create a broad range of topics over time to ensure that all the students remain or become interested. You have to be aware of all the students possible interests to get them engaged. Listening and reading are not simply about using the eyes and ears but also using the mind to gain literal understanding of words and phrases.
