I have learned various tips and ideas for activities and in engaging the class. I have a full list of new games and activities that I'm eager to try in my english class in Korea. I have also relearned many parts of the english language that I've simply never thought of teaching specifically like phrasal verbs and passive voices; but the main thing that I've personally gained the most on was the overall organization and ‘break down' of the lesson plans: Engage, Study and Activate. On how I teach classes, I would say that I've always done a Patchwork approach, but I didn't have the exact idea of that. I would have to say that I improvised in much of my teaching career, which I'm very good at, but I believe that if I set up (even in the broadest outline) an ESA method, I can be far more effective in my teaching. Now, when I teach in korea next month, I will fill out an entire lesson plan and see where that takes me.
