From this course I have gained:
• A better grounding in english grammar. I've studied some english grammar dictionaries before, but this course had some very good units on how to explain a lot of basic grammar points in a concise fashion. My students will definitely benefit from this.
• The ability to organize a class in terms of the ESA structure. When lesson planning, I will definitely plan lessons using the ESA format.
• Lots of new game ideas.
• Lots of new activity ideas.
• A better ability to create new games and activities to complement a lesson!
• An appreciation for pronunciation difficulties and the impact of intonation and stress on meaning in communication.
I'm going to put what I've learned into action by incorporating the ESA format into my lesson planning. I'm also going to try the activities and games that I created during this course in my lessons. I'm altering the way I explain grammar and I think my students will benefit from this. Your course has also pointed me towards more reading material in the tefl field. I plan on reading a lot of the books recommended during this course in order to continue to improve my knowledge in the tefl field.
