When I first enrolled to take tefl course online I was extremely nervous because I was not sure what I was going to expect, and also I was concerned what if the course reveals how incompetent I am as a teacher? Certainly I was able to relate to what my students may feel when we begin a new lesson in english, no matter what level you are, you will always want to do well and succeed...

Undertaking this course has given me a variety of new approaches to the way I used to teach...

Prior to reading each unit's coursework I would browse through the accompanying worksheet and try completing the questions pertaining to grammar issues...

From this course, I have gained knowledge, not only on english grammar, but also on how important it is to have a teacher who is there for his/her students emotionally...

First of all, I have learned about teachers and learners...

Personally, I don't believe I have learnt enough to do any student's under my tutelage true justice...

Being a native speaker in english and not have reviewed the many grammar rules for an extensive amount of time, (for they are no longer needed to accurately produce english) I had forgotten almost all of them...

I have gained from the course (1) confidence to go into the classroom and address a diversity of levels, (2) a vast array of exercises and activities to use during the engage and activate phases of instruction, (3) a comprehensive and invaluable review of grammar, and (4) a better understanding of the challenges and difficulties my students will be facing ...

I have personally gained lots of grammar knowledge including the different parts of speech, verb tenses, vocabulary, passive and active voice, etc...

One factor that has been on my mind since the early units of this course is how to explain a topic, or a task, in the clearest way possible to somebody who is going to have difficulty understanding what I am saying, or have no understanding whatsoever...

My mind started to work more creatively in thinking of activities...

It was a very useful and interesting course for me...
