It has been a really great experience studying this course for a few months. Especially, studying the areas of grammar rules definitely helped to clarify my understanding in the different usages of grammar and to clear up my imperfect teaching techniques to approach those rules for students to understand. I have also learned various teaching skills which can be applied not only to teaching english, but also to all areas of expertise in the future. Even if I have an experience of teaching children, I have learned a lot of new techniques, which I didn’t know, to control students including younger learners and adults. Also I’ve gained the skills to planning a lesson as I have gone through several lesson plans to make on my own. One more really good thing about this course was that it could help me to predict the areas the students might have trouble with from the lesson I was planning.
I’m planning to use the skills and knowledge that I have learned from this course to help my students to improve their english who I’m currently teaching english Bible every Saturday, as well as to get a full-time teaching job in korea where I am currently staying. Ultimately I would use them when I move to other countries, so that I can stay there long enough to learn about the culture while teaching english.
