I have gained a lot from this class. The most helpful lessons for me were the Units on grammar. I didn’t realize how difficult and complex grammar lessons can be. I have a graduate degree and I have been teaching english in china for three years: One year in a private, children’s school; two years at a University; and various side one-on-one tutoring, company contracts, and adult language schools. I’ve always felt a bit of challenge when trying to explain certain grammar rules but after taking this course I realized how little I knew about grammatical functions and how to teach them. In the future I will do further study and review on teaching grammar and make sure I incorporate it more in the classroom.
