I think one of the most valuable skills I gained from this course was the knowledge of the ESA process and lesson planning. At the completion of this course I have created 11 different lesson plans that could easily be used in a classroom environment. I have already made much of the knowledge and skills I gained in this course as part of my regular teaching practice.
This course was not only comprehensive in teaching extensive grammar and structural aspects of english, but also very practical in giving me teaching strategies and tactics and teacher resources to use in the classroom. The grammar aspect of the course has refreshed a lot of what I learnt back in high school but also given me an understanding for a lot of which I just took for granted being a native english speaker. I have then been able to transfer this knowledge to the students and taught grammar lessons with much more confidence and ease.
I have put the knowledge, tools, resources and the confidence I have gained through this course into practice already in the classroom, and plan to continue improving and adjusting my teaching in the efl area. The course content was very relevant and I gained the maximum knowledge and understanding from the content through the assignments being well structured and reinforcing all the ideas covered in the related readings.
