Personally I have gained a great deal of confidence in my ability to teach english as second language. The course has so many great things that it brings to the table such as the comparison of the different methodologies in unit three, the resource lists for each part of each lesson, and how to teach not only grammar but all the other skills associated with teaching a new language.
Reviewing all the basic grammar, which got lost somewhere between high school and adulthood, has been one of the things that really helped me gain my confidence but the instructors on the videos and my tutor were the real heroes. It's the insight and wisdom from their real-world classroom teaching experience that's the real take away for me.
My plan is to use the knowledge gained in the course as a launching pad for teaching street kids in english.
