As a person with virtually zero teaching experience, this course has been invaluable. There are a number of things from each unit that have helped me. I have always been decently strong with grammar, but the grammar units not only reinforced what I knew but also provided techniques for actually teaching these grammar points to students. Further, the idea of organizing thoughts and using structured lesson plans (with wiggle room of course!) will be very useful.
I plan to use these lessons almost immediately, as I am starting a job as an assistant language teacher in japan. In some cases I may simply be an assistant, there for pronunciation or presence only. In others, though, I may be the main teacher of the lesson, and these units have been a virtual treasure trove of things to use and help put me at ease on just what exactly I am supposed to do when I "take the stage" as it were.
