First of all I learnt or realized how much responsibility lies on the teacher. Being a model, observer, tutor, participant, facilitator, manager, organizer, assessor, and a prompter all at once takes skill. All the different ways the teacher can keep the students motivated. The importance of connecting the students' behavior with their home life and making sure they don't get bored. Before this course I felt at a loss about how to plan a lesson. But with the teaching and all the practice I feel much more confident. Also knowing about where to get games and exercise sheets and knowing how to integrate them into the lesson is certainly a big help. I learnt how to find weaknesses and revise lessons to meet those needs. In the area of present, past, and future tenses I got more familiar with them and learnt how to teach them in a fun and interesting way. I learnt about course books and how much to use them. To make sure it's student centered so that it meets their needs and goals. I am tutoring english right now as a volunteer. My ‘boss' gets all the materials together for me. But this certainly will help become a better tutor. In the future I would like to teach english in another country. Possibly in July I might teach in Ghana, West Africa and this will definitely be put to practice.
